Fiddleheads!
We went on a day trip up to Port Angeles, Washington. Not to much going on there, however, I did find a couple of places that I would definitely visit again! First, we stopped at a great antique store called P A Antiques... I found lots of cute things I would love to have. Our friends Jody & Kellie Resch came across this vintage trunk for only $17.00... they had to have it! Next, we wondered over to the Cottage Queen. Their front window was full of Twilight charactors... cardboard cut outs (my 7 year old would of freaked). Finally, we found FIDDLEHEADS. OMGosh! This is totally my type of store. It inspires me to be more creative just after seeing their beatiful shop. Looked like something out of a magazine... Don't you just love everything that they have?! The owners Katrina Berg & Tina Lemeke have done an awesome job! Fiddleheads is located at 126 West First Street, Port Angeles, WA 98362 (360)452.2114

Grilled Blueberry-Rhubarb Crumble~ Yummy!!!
Growing up rhubarb just seemed really gross... never wanted to try it and said I didn't like it. Boy, I was missing out. From our house in Fife, Wa when you looked out our backdoor there was a veggie farm. Springtime would come and they would put up these plastic greenhouses. We found out that they were growing rhubarb. One day I decided to look up some recipes that rhubarb was in... I came across this one. Grilled Blueberry-Rhubarb Crumble. My husband loves to grill so I thought what the heck. This changed my mind forever about rhubarb =)
Yummy & Enjoy~
Ingredients
3 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
2 cups fresh or frozen diced rhubarb
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup butter or margarine
Whipped cream (optional)
Directions
1. In a medium sauepan, combine the blueberries, rhubarb, granulated sugar, and the 2 tablespoons flour. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Transfer fruit mixture to an 8x8x2-inch metal baking or foil pan; set aside.
2. For topping, combine oats, brown sugar, the 1/4 cup flour, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Cut in butter or margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle topping over fruit mixture. Cover pan tightly with foil.
3. Grill for 20 to 25 minutes or until topping is set. Serve warm with whipped cream, if desired. Makes 6 servings.

So I Need to Know!
I need to know what is happening to my favorite magazines! Country Home, Cottage Living, and I heard something about Country Living... the first two they no longer make and I am getting Sunset & BHG instead for my subscription. I need to find some new magazines because these just do not have the creativeness of display or ideas that I thrive for. Are these becoming extinct like the local newspaper? Only to become a .com only... I receive Martha Stewart's Living, however, I would love to find more like Country Home or Country Living. Send them my way!

Shabby Chic Beauty!
This was one of my craigslist finds! It was time worn yellowish color and the mirror was broken. After sanding, washing, and wiping I was finally able to paint. Giving it new life with a beautiful crisp white and distressing the edges. I replaced the knobs to make it a true shabby chic beauty. But, what was I suppose to do with no mirror? Then the idea came to me to make it a memo board. Every teenager would love to just place their favorite photos of friends on it. Very little time went by before it found it's new home in the tri-cities. This will be a piece that I will miss!

The Wearin' O' the Green
Today is the day fer the wearin' o' the green.
Today is the day when the little people are seen.
Today is St. Patrick's Day, so if ye'r Irish me lad,
Join the celebratin' fer the grandest time ta' be had.
Ya' put yer hand up in the air, the other hand on your hip.
Ya' tap yer toe, ya' tap yer heel, ya' bounce yer knee a wee bit.
Ya' prance 'n dance around the room, n' circle one two three.
The saints be praised, I must admit, ya' all look Irish ta' me.
HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!! xoxoxo

Greenhouse Goes Glam! Love it!
Today I received my Country Living magazine (April 2009)... and I just fell in love with the "A Greenhouse Goes Glam"! I want that in my backyard. What I really love about it is the openness of the greenhouse windows on the roof and the sides letting the outdoors be the decoration back drop. The crystal chandeliers really add that glamorous touch. Ummm.. I wonder if my husband can build it or maybe I will find something on Craigslist. Wish me luck!! =)
